In any case, all this calling Bush or Cheney a flip-flopper, which they undoubtedly are, is a lost cause. It doesn't fit the narrative that the Republicans and their SCLM allies have so craftfully built for Kerry.

Bush and Cheney have done a far worse crime -- they've lost touch with reality. They're out of touch. Clueless. Living in a fantasy world in which the rest of us don't get to share. In their happy world, the economy is great, and Iraq is a smashing success (er, "catastrophic" success).

Like I said, out of touch.
